Jharkhand State Food Commission Constitutes of five members and one Chairperson. Each member of the commission have been allocated districts and given responsiblity of Monitoring and Evaluation of Implemention of the NFSA in allocated districts as well as to hear Grievances and take measurs for redressal of grievances from the respective districts. For hearing of cases commision have formed benches constituting atleast two members. The member incharge of the respective districts will chair that bench.
At District level an entitlement holder will first lodge their grievances to the DGRO of the respective districts who will redresses the grievance(s) within 30 days from the date of receipt of complain. In case if DGRO is not able to address the complain s/he may take a months time from the Deputy Commissioner. If the grievance is not addressed within the given time or the complainant is not satisfied with the orders of DGRO s/he may appeal before the State Food Commission.
